GAMES WITHIN GAMES

Post by mohicankid » Fri Mar 21, 2008 6:32 am

i've recently been playing bully on the wii and in variouse parts of the game you can find machines which allow you to play arcade style minnie games! i particulary like the f-zero style game and have found that i play it more than i do the actual missions!
what other games have people played that they have prefered the minnie games to the actual game content?

I remember putting an obscene amount time into the Space Harrier arcade machine in Shenmue, but I cant say I enjoyed it more than the actual game.

There's some half decent shoot em up's in Thrillville : Off The Rails on the 360, they are only half decent though, but that's twice as decent as Thrillville itself.

Various games within games as a core part of Lazy Jones on the C64.

Galaga at the start of Ridge Racer.

Invada-load on C64.

There's a tile based puzzle game on Atari ST that has a tiny version of Breakout in one corner of the screen. You can use the mouse to play either of the two games. Wish I could remember the name.

Don't you mean 'Jimmy White's 2: Cueball'?

But yes, it was an Archer Maclean classic.
