Would people be interested in an official trading forum for buying/selling/trading their games?

It's something that has been mentioned many times on the forum. Almost exclusively people have been very interested.

I was just thinking a sort of swapshop would be great, I have a few Amigas/SNESs etc that I'd like to trade for other systems I've not experienced.

*listens to Imagine lawyers screaming "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NOOOOOO!*

I think a rejig of the forums in general would be good, frankly, seeing as people continually post in the wrong ones.

The Retro Gamer magazine forum (merge Feedback and Q+A)
It's all about the games
High scores
Blast from the past
Off topic
Trading

Oh, and how long are the ad forums going to stay? World of Warcraft has been there, without a new post, for almost 18 months. It's just crazy. You could also just pin the shop stuff within the Retro Gamer magazine forum, especially the eMag one, which hasn't had a new post in over half a year.

It would proberly be a good Idea, theres too many people 1 posting in the off topic section and All about the games section peddeling crap so Keeping it in one area is a good idea

(the Warcraft forum's locked, LOL)

Craig's idea sounds just about perfect - especially the Q+A section doesn't make much sense as things are.

And a large portion YES for a trading forum... take that, eBay!

Some new suggestions for forum arrangements:

- It's all about the games
- Off Topic
- Yehboth's top 100 of everything that ever has, does or will exist forum
- Dudley's and Opa Opa's 'your wrong/your an idiot' forum
- Genuinely scary user pics forum
- Amstrad haters forum
- My XBOX 360 is f****d forum
- Shaq Fu forum

Any other suggestions, possibly at least one insulting me I would have thought :)

Great suggestions.

We also need..

Is Gamestation still selling retro? forum.
I love SEGA Saturn (contains nudity) forum.

These two forums would reduce the number of posts in the It's all about the Games forum by about 75%.

Do you think we could hire Chris Tarrant and maybe have it streamed as a LIVE show?

First thread: How to spell "you're" ;)

Should we not merge the Blast From The Past and Off Topic? I don't see the point in having two separate areas for these as they're essentially the same thing.
