I quite like the new toon.. quite catchy innit, and I can do 'Dad-type' dancing to it.

Just so you know.

REM should have packed it in when the drummer left - since then they have just released fairly average albums.

I know what you mean, i've got their later albums and i do really like the singles but i normally find outside of those the rest of the album is pretty poor

In the old days every song on their early albums were excellent but not anymore, the singles are great, the rest of the filler i dont think stands up to their old stuff much.

Not a huge fan, but I can play 'Everybody Hurts' on guitar, which is always a crowd favourite down the pub.

Oh, and I absolutely love 'Man In The Moon', which I also enjoy playing on guitar (on a slight digression, love the movie too which has made me become interested in the life of Andy Kaufman and has got me watching 'Taxi' on Paramount')

Not a huge "fan" but I like the music. Saw them in Cardiff a few years ago; loud and brilliant!

Murmur was by far the best album, in my opinion. The more recent stuff has lost the edge and sense of adventure the band once had, but they're still pretty good for a mainstream rock band with indie pretensions.

I think it's also the band's least fave, I think they have always refused to play it live.

I was very into them around the time of 'Document' & 'Green'.. hated 'Monster' tho and never purchased any albums after that.

But I do like 'Great Beyond'.

Have you heard their altered lyrics version 'FURRY HAPPY MONSTERS' on the Muppets live?

This has to be one of my favourite track. Also I like 'The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite' and 'Nightswimming'.
