I remember it being in Amiga Action waaaay back in the day. Maybe someone who lived in the area can confirm but it seems legit...

I suspect it's the other way around, that someone photoshopped THIS pic into a Sony one.

Thats the worst form of advertising where instead of promoting your product, you berate the product of a competitor. Ironically Sega did it to Nintendo all the time during the Megadrive era. Using that type of advertising actually acknowledges your competition as a threat and that you are not confident in the ability of your own product and feel that you must compare your product agaisnt another that you are subconsiously saying is better to your potential customers.
