Its quite simple really.
If people don't like it here, why bother visiting and posting?
There are several retro forums around that cater for different types of people. Instead of stupid forum invasions, why not just stick to one or two forums?

For what it's worth, I joined this forum only today (March 3rd). I've been on gaming forums for years and years and even run a few succesful, yet discrete communities myself.
As a passionate gamer I'm pretty fed up with the culture of today's gamers and the mentality that is typical of gaming communities. When I lower myself to that level I'm as bad as the rest of them.
But I figured that a forum dedicated to retro gaming would probably have a more mature membership and a greater display of civility and understanding between its members.
I'm all for a bit of jovial, goofy name-calling though.
I suggest all genuine disagreements be settled over a game of java pong.
