Anyone seen this on DVD yet? I have and I really enjoyed it and I was also impressed by it both appearance, acting and soundtrack wise.

But I have to admit though that this has got to be the most Homoerotic film I have seen this year.

Did you know that 300 was directed by the same person who directed the remake of Dawn Of The Dead which was also impressive.

What does everyone else think?

One of the best films I've seen in a long time, not quite as close to the comics as Sin City is but still an excellent adaptation, roll on The Spirit.

That one at notre dame was a bit of a censored as well, or was he just misunderstood?

I blame his parents.

Probably brother and sister.

Reminds me of that Farmer Palmer strip in Viz, where his son marries his daughter and he gets a one eyed grandson, man that really made me laugh :D

I was alone then in hating this tripe?

It starts off setting the scene and the movie with "Spartans were horrible, really horrible, especially to their kids, and they employed Nazi selective breeding tactics."

Then to add insult to baby slaughtering injury, they hung around like muscle bound posers with painted on (did you spot them?) six-packs.

Then up turns the Persians. Xerxes. Sure OK. No saint. However, surely no better or worse than that Spartan git? I mean, there was no hero. I couldn't abide the Spartans, and the Persians (quelle suprise) were misrepresented, and I didn't care if Greece got over ran or not.

The women were ugly.

Whoever did the special effects desperately wanted to make video games and/or Matrix 4.

What I really didn't get was this though. How come an action movie made every scene so boring, long winded and drawn out.

I think you are alone with this view !

I wouldnt say 300 was the best film ever, not the type i want to buy on dvd as i dont really want to watch it again but i thought it was very good. Of course theyre gonna paint on 6 packs, theyre not going to get countless people in the gym for a year pumping up.

Nice action film, nothing taxing on the brain and quite different than the usual type of film you get. Very over the top but good

I didn't really like 300 much , i was really looking foward to watching it but there is to much posing , not enough plot /story , not even that much action really , just the same hack / slash nonsense.

Some good parts - the arrows blackening the sky , the rhino etc but overall a really basic film and not a patch on his previous comic adaptation - sin city.

Has anyone played the 300 game on the PSP? If so, is it any good?

300 on PSP is awful. Looks bad, plays worse.

Nope, it was ridiculous. I liked the 300 comic book, despite the fact that it was historically inaccurate. But the 300 movie took it all too far; I mean, they even included a troll (like in LOTR), FFS!

Last I heard the guy who directed it wants to do 'Watchmen' next, with the same green screen technology, though I don't really see why they need it.

Just to put my comments in to context. I look forward to the Resident Evil Movie and I thought Doom, the movie, was alright.
