I'm not a great fan of American tv shows , but I have to admit that HBO have produced some of the best drama series over the last decade or so
One of my favourtes is Rome , although I think they tried to squeeze too much into 2 seasons . Would much preferred it to be spread over 4 or 5 like The Sopranos

I've never seen Carnivale, Deadwood or Rome, but I consider Band of Brothers to be the best TV drama I've ever seen.
There's still a lot of garbage out there but I think the sheer quality of a small amount of TV drama in the past several years balances it all out.

I voted Six Feet Under, although it was a close call between a few of them (Sopranos, Oz, Deadwood).

I voted for OZ. It was incredible and I'd never seen anything like it before. A few of the episodes were a bit confusing but overall it was fantastic.
Band of Brothers was good. But there were a few episodes in the middle that were incredibly dull I thought.

Of those I only saw Carnivale... and that wasn't particularly brilliant. I abstain from voting.
