What drama!

As with many things in life, forums very much included, people always are sentimental about the past being better (i suppose being a retro forum, this is a given!) and how things aren't what they used to be.

Exactly.

A couple of bottles of Chateau of Chasselas might also work on improving forum morale.

Haven't been on here long enough to know the answer but its seems pretty good to me, had some excellent advice, good discussions and filled a few holes in my knowledge.

I don't go on many forums though, just this and a Sledding forum, that is going downhill. :D

So if the forum's going downhill, who's responsible?
Axolotls are not fish, they are amphibians - so more closely related to frogs and lizards.

That's it, this forum has hit rock bottom.

You might believe his advice, but personally I'm not sure; it sounds a bit fishy to me.

I don't think it's going downhill - many of the forum members are extremely friendly and great fun to play with online. The only think that would make it better was a larger user base and more regular posting.

Yes there are certain members that go looking for arguments and fights but there are people like that on any forum.

A couple of years ago, I had two axolotl:

One of them ate the other one, and is presently getting too big for her tank, but I can't afford to upgrade, so I'm left in a bit of an amphibious quandary.

Even nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

The forum is saved now that the 'Today' and 'What Grinds Your Gears' threads appeared to have kicked off...

The forum is as fine as it ever was. Funny hearing people getting nostalgic over ex-posters though, on a retro forum no less.
