To the Goverment though it will always be a no no as it's undeclared earnings, they just wont generally go after small amounts as it's not worth it but don't expect them to help if theres an issue.
It seems they dont go after large amounts as well.

The test kit only arrived yesterday. Will actually do it tomorrow before it is picked up by courier.

To be clear, this is the antigen test that tells you if you currently have the virus, not if you have ever had it.
Since I have been shielding since March 23rd it should be negative.

My Mrs was feeling unwell with various symptoms of Covid-19.
I ordered a test online Friday, it arrived via Amazon on Saturday. We did the test Saturday and posted it at 12.30pm in a priority post box.
We got a text result today at 2pm saying it's negative.

Now that is impressive!

God, it's a long time since I started this thread! Over half a million deaths later and here we are.

I hit post, but hadn't finished

Looks like some places (Belgium, Greece, Spain) cases are rising and lockdown measures are coming back in.

We're certainly a long way from what I consider dark days in April and May when the daily death figure was floating around the 1000 mark for a few weeks.

I thought we were heading for the light at the end of the tunnel. But maybe not...

I suppose it would be inconvenient (and irritating) if you'd already booked (or already in Spain) and the rules then suddenly changed....but if you're prepared to go on holiday at almost the very moment a pandemics first wave just passes/eases, then I am guessing you're also prepared that the risk of something covid related impacting the holiday/flight isn't insignificant.

Personally, I think holidays are meant for relaxing, and the whole organising/booking process of holidays right now doesn't seem all that relaxing or appealing with all the uncertainty.

Somewhat ironically, it's almost certainly because careless holidaymakers traveled with the virus that the number of new cases is rising there.

You also have to remember the air in planes is recycled so anything airborne is at risk of being transmitted so even if you were all clear when you got on the plane you might not be when you get off.

If you really really must get away just have a Staycation, less risk of infection and atm weather wise not acctually that different to places like Spain etc.

Yeah, but how is one now supposed to show off that they've been on their ESSENTIAL summer holidays abroad to their social media masses, without a location check-in to an airport, along with sharing multiple beach pics, including a sunbathing selfie of ones legs with the sea in the background? These people NEED these holiday anecdotes to share with their barber/hairdresser/neighbour/family/friends etc.......or what is the point in life? :P

No. Today is the first day for several that it hasn't been pissing down here, so bad we had thunder yesterday. Meanwhile, my daughter (who lives in Spain) has been taking the kids to the beach.

We'd really like to spend some time with the kids, having not had them visit since December, and the infection where they live is almost non-existent, same as Scotland. Spain is bad up round Barcelona, not Malaga. It's a big place.

While I accept there are risks in travel, currently those risks are not significantly higher than when I go shopping.
