Had to go somewhere yesterday (work, its a solo thing)
Was about 11pm
Trams, about 3 people on
Piccadilly train station, about 5 people about
Train could see three in the carriage
Other end, streets where empty

Coming home about 5ish
Slightly busyer
Saw Deansgate, next to nobody on it, no cars

Town centers are like a ghost town

I had to take my Mum to and from an Ultrasound which was strangley still on and I have a nasty feeling it's going to spread here.

While traffic was lower there was still quite a few cars about, so many places still open too and the old town high street visibly had a lot of parking in use from the end of it that I saw, came back past my local shopping parade and it was packed although fortunately the shops there did have measures in place.

Merman,I know its no replacement for being there but is there anyway you could have a videocall with them until everythings safe?

She's been having problems with the hospital Wi-Fi, and has to ask the nurse for help with her phone.
Spoken to her today and she is now on specialist nutrition. This is going to be a long haul...

Hey look its where I work, well was, I dont know anymore

Having the queue up outside stores is a bit irritating when just nipping in for a few bits.
80 customers at a time? Why was it so empty

Being cleaning it will most likely mean you are still in as they'll be needing to keep the place spotless, the kitchens may remain open too.

In terms of the queing, we kinda bought this on ourselves as too many people acted foolishly when this all started and now its as much keeping people in check as much as avoiding the virus.
I myself will actively avoid going anywhere, I can't stand long anyway (wheelchairs still out with a bust caster so it's on foot everywhere) and my immune system is fairly shot, I have noticed post traffic wise anything bigger than large letter is quite delayed.

Think I might as about that, experience in deep cleaning labs, ok round dead people and that.

If one thing good is coming of this

Apparently the air in some cities is clearing up

Maybe it's natures way of sorting itself out

Water ways are becoming cleaner too with the Fish repopulating, Venice has acctually got so clear you can see right down in some places.

It's too soon for fish to 'repopulate', fish haven't started spwaing yet (well, maybe Pike). More likely they were there all along just not visible due to the water being churned up by activity. Anyone who's been Cambridge city centre will know how busy the Cam is with punts (or should I say, punters?), but if you go very early in the moring like Simon here, you can catch fish off the moored boats.

Hope you guys are doing okay around the World. It has just started to affect NZ but we are now in our 5th day of lockdown, hopefully got it early before it spread across the country dramatically. Our lockdown is for four weeks, aside from health and supermarket essential services.

Another good thing out of all this, I seem to be sorting the flat out
Little repairs, little things that wind me up, cleaning.

I do miss having to go to work as well as having money to spend on things

Took us a few weeks before we were told to stay home and only go out to exercise and to get food

Some people are yet to follow this order

It's begun! A week and 4 days into lockdown and I've given into DIY :(

It's been an interesting day though. I've used a Jigsaw to saw a bunk bed and make 2 beds. Last time I used a jigsaw I cut off half a finger :O Wasn't at all nervous, honest.
