Thank you for posting this. So this evening was spent reading up in Kieren and his lies (and utterly repugnant treatment of certain retro content creators of recent). I'm actually now considering cancelling my 11 year subscription to RG unless they stop working with him.

Three years ago Darren said he was wrong about ascertains he made about Kieren and vowed to work with him again on RG. In light of more recent revelations I would hope Darren now has a change of mind.

It's silly really, cancelling a subscription to a magazine I love every month just because of all this drama, but I seriously cannot sit back and enjoy the magazine now with this shitstorm looming over it.

I hope you reconsider. Kieren is no longer connected to the magazine.

I cannot comment on specifics regarding the situation under discussion, but for the record Kieren and RG parted ways following the publication of his last feature, which appeared a year ago in issue 191. He is no longer a contributor to the magazine.

I too spent some time reading the threads elsewhere... and more recently the stuff on Twitter with Octavius Kitten. As the title says, it's crazy.

Just read the Atari Age thread. Madness.

Phew! That's a relief. I was really torn about cancelling my sub, it would of broken my heart. I'm glad you're not working with him again. And to think I'd crafted my leaving email last night...

We know he has multiple accounts, like his 'brother' and others that would only ever post to back him up when he was called out for some error or inaccuracy in what he said rather than accept the correction.

For some reason I've been keeping up to date with this over the past couple of days (probably because it's like car crash TV) and in all honesty I cannot believe it has taken this long.

Hasn't stuff like this been going on around 15 years?

At the end of the day it's a community about retro video games. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion.

Welcome to the world of retro gaming, mind the pricks they lurk in the shadows waiting for you to post an opinion then assault your eyes with a wall of text as to why you are talking a load of pish

Laird has posted a statement on his website addressing the Atari age claims. I’m linking below

More of an incoherent rant than a statement. Just a shame RG ever got involved with him at all.

He's made a statement alright, one that makes the common denominator more than clear. So much drama, so many events, yet a single link between them all.

He might as well have entitled it "How to dig your own grave in 15 pages."

There are a few people picking it apart over on Atari Age, not that they really need to
