so the 360 came out in 2005 does that mean in 2020 the 360 will be retroWe use a 15 year rule in the mag , the same rule should apply for the official forum.
It won't be retro to you, but it will be retro to someone in their 30s
Dear lord.so the 360 came out in 2005 does that mean in 2020 the 360 will be retro![]()
that will blow some peoples minds if it does that
I don't live in the US and I recognise virtually everything in that catalogue. The NES was in every shop when I was a kid and most of those toys were around, too. I was 15 when that catalogue came out and would have killed for a NES. It was way too expensive, though. I'd argue that age is a far bigger divide than region because when we get to a certain age we just don't appear to have time for things we were too old for.Antiriad2097 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 12:25 pmAnd this is where the US/UK divide comes in. It's a bit lost on me. NES wasn't a big deal here for most of us. We were all playing computer games, with the odd smattering of Master System and Mega Drive (Genesis is a band, not a console, to quote RGR). Around then we'd have been at the tail end of the Spectrum/C64 days and into the ST/Amiga. Maybe I'm just too old for it. I was 19 when that catalogue came out.
Man, you're right that really drags me back in time! I remember Xmas 89, and desperately wanting Nintendo. I used to just stand for ages outside on the sidewalk looking in the window of my local videogame store, looking at the Nintendo stall. It was awesome! That winter of 89-90 was a classic too, because my favorite football team, the 49ers absolutely owned the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXV!!!!!!!!!jpishgar wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 12:05 pmDear lord.so the 360 came out in 2005 does that mean in 2020 the 360 will be retro![]()

As an aside, rummaging around last night, I spotted this - an old ad from Kay-Bee Toys.

This is absolutely going to drag some of you back in time. Faxanadu was wonderful. Blaster Master was so odd, but when else have you ever played a jumping tank? Dragon Warrior was massive.
See that "Controller Adaptor" for $5.99? What an utter piece of garbage that was.
Ban this contemptuous, mocking fool!Spector wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:13 pmMan, you're right that really drags me back in time! I remember Xmas 89, and desperately wanting Nintendo.
