Site downtime?

Post by miqrojamie » Sat Aug 05, 2017 6:04 pm

Hi,

I've noticed a few times when trying to browse this board today the following message... :/

Image

I've been browsing as a guest before and have not seen this issue crop up, how come it is happening - is it server overload or something like that?

Thanks for any response from a server admin, especially if you could look into it for me so it doesn't become more of an annoyance, since this community is great so far :)

Seems to be fixed now for the time being. Feel free to lock this, moderators :)

Happens sometimes for me again too, I still think it is MySQL overload. I'd recommend someone with server access to go to the phpBB support forums and post relevant info (things like server configuration) and see what could be causing this.

Have had the very same thing every day for the past week or so, now. Horribly annoying, especially after typing something for it to then be lost before the system could save to thread. Has taken me almost a half hour this evening to get to the typing stage for this post.

I've been quite lucky in that the post has still been there when I press back. I may start copying though to be on the safe side.

I've asked the relevant department to look into this.
It's been happening to me too, very annoying.

Cheers Darran. Even a quick post like that makes a huge difference.
