Ramblings of a madman, saying that I've been reading 'Stupid White Men' by Michael Moore which is more or less 250 pages of bashing 'Dubya' Bush and corporate America.

It's a good read actually.

Currently reading The Silmarillion, it's quite heavy going really and I'm not sure I'm really taking in everything. Sort of feel like I've read it but even a second later I wouldn't be able to tell you what's going on. I suppose I've got the general gist so far but not the details. It's the type of thing that's going to require quite a lot of reads really.

Finished Doctor Sleep - fantastic sequel to The Shining.

Up next is Michael Schumacher: The Whole Story. A bit out of date since it only goes up to his original 2006 retirement but for £3.99 new I won't complain.

I read it as a kid and my memory of it was it slightly disturbed me - but in a good way. Must re-read it soon.

Currently reading 'The Long Earth' by Pratchett and Baxter. It's fun and inventive as you'd expect, but has bolted together feel about it

Seven Forges by James A Moore. Picked this one up a week or two ago, but only just started reading it. Very good indeed.

just started the Jonathon Nathan Turner biog by Richard Marston. Not an era of Dr Who I watched, but sounds interesting and controversial

Bit of a catch up here:

Doctor Sleep-I thought this was an excellent read, with some nice nods back to The Shining and a believable character arc.

Wizard And Glass-Second time through this and I loved it just as much.

IT- This was one of my favourite teenage books. I last read it in 1987, and kept putting off re-reading it but I'm currently balls deep in it again and thoroughly enjoying this.

After this I might read something that King didn't write.....
