Captive of Gor.

I read Assassin of Gor on holiday.

Haven't read any of these for years.

Gave up on Beyond Aukfontein, had it hanging around for ages but just wasn't feeling it. I think I just don't like the protagonist.

I was a teenage Toyah fan which was 80p or something....its an interesting read, not all about Toyah, its his experiences growing up in the 80s with nods towards music/fashion/bullying etc. not a big book but i enjoyed it.

Also not much of a morrisey fan, but decided to download his autobiography as reviews were favourable and a lot of 80s memories etc always attract me.

Started Joyland by Stephen King last night. Only read about 25 pages so far but it seems like it'll be a good 'un.

I'm currently on Book 4 Fractured of The Remaining, written by D J Molles.
It's a series following an American soldier, part of Operation Hometown (which involves a Soldier, one of whom is sealed in bunkers in all the 52 states of the US for 30 days in the event of a catastrophic incident).
In this case, a virus that turns people in psychotic killers (ala 28 days later) appears and after the 30 days he leaves the bunker with the mission to start gathering survivors to help establish a new government with the aid of the other 52 marines and the mass of well stocked bunkers hidden across the US and locked to al but them (finger/eye/dna/voice print, code and preprogrammed dps thingumy).
Loving the series after I came across it by chance and took a punt, well worth a look if you like survival horror and zombie-type things!

Finished Joyland last night. Despite it being quite a small book that didn't take long to get through, I absolutely loved it and would class it as one of my favourite Stephen King books along with the likes of It, Salem's Lot and Needful Things. I really connected with the characters and couldn't put the book down very easily.

Currently reading Black House (Stephen King/Peter Straub) and Pole Position: The Inside Story of Williams Renault (covering the '95 season). Completely different types of books but both excellent reads. I was quite chuffed to pick up Pole Position for just a few quid in a chazza shop :P

Reading Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. Quite enjoying it.

Finished Black House and it was excellent. I would wholeheartedly recommend it (and it's precursor, The Talisman) to any Dark Tower fans as it's a tie-in of sorts which I was quite surprised about since it was a collaborative effort with another writer.

The Shining. This was the first Stephen King book I ever read so it's nice to re-read it years later and still really enjoy it. Plus, the re-read is because I want to go straight onto Doctor Sleep next :)

I'm working my way through Before The Incal, which I probably should have read before The Incal but never mind.
