the wave at hanging rock.

a woman believes her husband was lost at sea until a phonecall puts her in doubt, so she tries to find out what happened. the first half is about his life growing up, surfing, friendship etc and the time leading up to his disappearance. the second half the whole book shifts pace

Commodore - The Inside Story by David John Pleasance

Filled with anecdotes and stories on how things went wrong at Commodore, from the man who was on the inside at Commodore UK - plus more great memories from ex-Commodore employees and fans.

Definitely worth a read for Commodore fans.

Astounded that the thread I started in 2007 is still running, 11 years later!
Currently reading Richard Ellman's classic James Joyce biography.

Me too. His flamenco guitar training sounds close to manic...

I, Partridge - Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan)
Absolutely, hilarious! The audio version is even better

A few recently.
The burning land- Bernard cornwell. As good as ever. Trying to catch up before the last one comes out later in the year.
The wizard of OZ. Prefer the film.
Elton John autobiography. Like a good life story and this one is up there with the best I've read.
Roger Daltey autobiography. Opposite of above. Just bland.

I'm not currently reading anything, but the most recent one I've read was "The subtle art of not giving a f*ck" by Mark Manson.

Brian Lumleys Necroscope series absolutely amazing.

Also my absolutely favourite female horror writer sent me one of her books for free and she signed it for me. I’ve spoken to her a lot via messenger and she’s incredibly cool and down to earth. So going to start on that next.

Metro 2033
As I played last light and the story made me keep playing.
The book?
It kinda has the same world building, interesting character's and dialogue.
I find it hard to want to read a lot of books as I tend to get bored with-in the first few pages.
Might also be the new routine of sitting away from the computer, putting on some ambient noise (Star trek TNG engine noise works) and having a relaxing green tea

Agreed. The book is great but the audiobook is absolutely superb. I think I prefer Nomad more than I, Partridge.
