The DIrty Game: Uncovering the Scandal at FIFA by Andrew Jennings.

It's written by the investigative reporter who exposed the corruption at FIFA and whilst I wasn't a massive fan of the writing style it was a really good but depressing book.

Well worth a read if you want to know what happened.

Clough's War by Don Shaw.

Covering Clough's time at Derby and the subsequent movement that was set up by Shaw to have him reinstated as Derby boss it's an interesting read but it really does show how borderline paranoid and reckless Cloughie could be.

It's kind of a depressing read in hindsight.

After studying for exams for the past few months it's great to get back to reading for the sake of it.

I've just read the first few chapters of Odd Thomas and from the very start I knew I was going to love it, apparently there's about half a dozen books in the series so that should keep me entertained for a bit. :D

Dancing with Myself - Billy Idol autobiography.

A good and refreshing read as it's well written and he accepts full responsibility for all of his actions good or bad.

Rocks: My Life in and Out of Aerosmith by Joe Perry.

Interesting read and a good addition to go alongside Walk This Way.

The Secret Footballer.

Not as interesting as I thought it would be and it's pretty short.

End of Watch - Stephen King.

3rd book in the Mr Mercedes trilogy, really enjoying it so far.

Also halfway through The Great and Secret Show which I first read in the early 90s I'd forgotten so much about it that it's like a new book, but also it's tainting my memory since it's not as good as I remember. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying it but this was my favourite Barker book back in the day.

Finished End of Watch-Definitely the weakest of the trilogy but still enjoyable.

Also just finished The Humans by Matt Haig. A book about an alien sent to take the place of a Maths Professor living in Cambridge and wipe out all knowledge of a theory that he has proved before it becomes common knowledge. It's a witty and insightful look into human nature and relationships. Well worth a read.

I've moved on to Tarkin one of the new canon Star Wars books, set before Episode 4 and a look into his younger years. So far so good, it's not as fast moving or action packed as some of the other Star Wars novels I've read. It goes into a lot of the political side of things, given the character that's understandable but I'm finding it quite hard going as I'm quite sick of politics this week...
