I'm about half-way through Star Wars: Death Troopers. What a weird book. It reads like trashy fanfiction, with the same imagery and hooks constantly being re=used. That said, the whole plot is so OUT-THERE, that I can't help but keep reading. The fact this is (well, was prior to Legends and the re-shuffle) blows my mind.

I enjoyed Death Troopers, it was a fun romp, putting a horror spin on the usual Star Wars fare. I didn't enjoy the prequel half as much though, I found that a tad dull.

Didn't realize there was a prequel. Looks like I know what to read next 8)

It's just odd for a series so PG-13 to have such a vividly violent entry. Each page is met with excitement and disbelief.

Honestly, Spector - next you'll be reading Das Kapital!   :D

Anyway, I finished Jonathon Coe's The Rotters' Club. Really good. Interesting how it differs a bit from the TV adaptation; dare I say it, but I think the TV adaptation was better. I started on the sequel The Closed Circle - pretty good - so far, as I managed to do the first chapter last night(about 30 pages).

Guardians of the Galaxy issues 1-12 from 2008.

It's the run that 'inspired' the recent film and is rather enjoyable. I own the first seven issues so it was nice to re-read them and then read issues 8-12 that I hadn't read before.

The Boy Who Wept Blood by Den Patrick. Taking a while to get into this one at the moment.

Steven Tyler autobiography.

Very rambly and not nearly enough in depth but an OK read.

Pete Rose biography.

Arguably one of the best baseball players in history who threw it all away in a huge cloud of lies, gambling, fraud and deceit.

Denying himself a Hall of Fame place.
Thoughts and prayers.

I just finished Star Wars: Red Harvest. Over-all I enjoyed it. There were certain elements I found a bit hard to take (I won't spoil) but the setting in the Sith Academy and that constant knowledge that any character could die at any time kept me hooked.

I'm now starting the Devil's Waters, from Jedi & Sith to Pararescue teams.

I didn't particularly enjoy Red Harvest, as a prequel it wasn't a patch on Death Troopers.

I actually preferred it to Death Troopers. I felt there was a greater cast of characters, I also liked that it didn't rely on two heavy cameos as the first one did. I'm not very far into SW EU either so it was really cool to read about a Sith Academy and see how the students interacted with each other.
