The idea of instant collection reeks of loads of unplayed and sports games, same with those collectors that just buys tons of games and nearly all of them are just shelf fodder for photostheantmeister wrote:Instant game collections sound like a good idea, but there's something to be said for having a collection personalised to your tastes that you built yourself.Rayne wrote:A Japanese Sega Saturn and sizable game collection. Pretty much all of it since 2008, with the exception of the MultiMega, Everdrive, PSP and Wii. And perhaps the 360, but even that hasn't been turned on since New Year's Eve.

Biggest waste of money back in the day? Buying any full price Commodore 16 game would rival anything else surely! The budget priced games seemed to be so much better.

Probably the 3DO and CDI but got them relatively cheap. I will never sell.my colecovison or intellivision because they are in mint condition but haven't turned them on for years!
Re: Biggest waste of gaming money?
Probably my 2DS. I bought it new back in 2013 and have barely used it, plus have a pretty extensive selection of games for it (mainly DS).
I really need to use it. I don't know why I don't.

Another vote for the 3DO. Bought if someone, found the controller didn't work so never actually played it. Gathered dust before I sold it cheaper to someone here (although I'm glad it turned out only the pad was faulty, so they got to enjoy it)

modded X Box the emulation is terrible anybody who thinks X Box emulation is perfect is either easily pleased, a space cadet, has never played the original consoles or all 3.. Gave the X box away to a friend a day later.. Saturn is another consoles I can't get on with but had some decent games Shinobi and Elevator Action Returns and Golden Axe the Duel..
Honourable mention to the new Turtles game which I bought on the Turtles name alone..
