Vale Greg Stafford, Founder of Chaosium and the Call of Cthulhu role playing game died today aged 70 :(
This is the game that got me into running RPGs and allowed me to experience and create tales based on the works of my favourite author.
Greetings Mortal, Are You Ready To Die?

Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, just died, aged 65.

He left the company in 1982, well before their most famous products came about, but he was one of the creators - alongside Bill Gates - of Microsoft BASIC which found its way into many home computers including the C64, the MSX, and an assortment of machines that used the CP/M operating system.

He kept hold of his shares, and went on to become one of the wealthiest people in the world as the company grew. Much of his career after Microsoft was devoted to philanthropic activities, including ocean conservation and fighting the spread of Ebola but he also found time and money to create the Allen Telescope Array to search for alien civilizations, and support commercial space flight with SpaceShipOne.
