Things you hated as a kid that you now love.

inspired by Marko and sweet and sour chicken balls.

what food ( or anything else ) that you hated as a kid but love now.

A weird one for me. Gravy, I used to feel sick just thinking about having it, not now, now I drown my roast dinners in thick dark beef gravy.

Is with the OP...

Sweet & Sour chicken balls (or anything with S&S sauce) used to make me feel sick when I was a lad. But now I absolutely love the stuff.
Cheese & onion crisps were horrible - the worst crisps ever as a kid - they are now my favourite!
Whiskey used to burn my throat and make me want to chuck - now I have a huge collection of malts and would be a very upset man if I couldn't sit here with a large Malt.
The News - did any child ever like the news? It always seems to be on now. Still not 100% sure I actually like it though

Beans, when you say 80's pop music - do you mean the likes of Rick Astley and Brother Beyond?

Cheese and onion crisps. I think I found the smell of them too strong as a kid. Nowdays, I like them.
Dark chocolate. Always found it too bitter as kid, and preferred either milk or white chocolate. Nowadays, I like it - especially the Green and Black's Organic stuff.
Red wine. Always found it a too sharp and sour as a kid. I didn't appreciate its more complex flavours.
Spielberg films - apart from the Indiana Jones trilogy(it was before the time of The Crystal Skulls). I always thought they were very schmaltzy and manipulative. I do nowadays appreciate some of them - especially things like Jaws and Close Encounters - but also his later works like The Terminal and Catch Me If You Can.
BBC Radio 4. Just never used to listen to it as a kid. It was always either Radio 1, Invicta FM(the local radio station) or BBC Radio Kent. Nowadays, it has the funny quizes(Just a Minute, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, etc.), the serious science programs, The Book at Bedtime(sort of Jackanory for adults), the drama plays, etc. Still, won't get me into The Archers though.

I was a huge metal fan as a kid, which meant I tended to dismiss the charts. Nowadays Absolute 80s is one of my favourite radio channels.

Paedophilia?

Just kidding.

I loved that as a kid too ;)

For me, curry, chilli, any spicy food really. But its reported kids have a sweet tooth and tastes change as you age, possibly as a deterrent to eating dangerous berries and stuff. Myth or science?

The News - Yeah back in the day i hated it when the parents watched it, now i really enjoy it !
80s music - Again as a kid i hated most of the charts, wasnt into music that much, years later i love 80s stuff. Just wasnt any band back then i was into, liked lots of songs but not a single band
Documentaries - Agree with this one, really like a good documentary now !

Still dont like - Cheese, Cricket, Pink Floyd, Hair metal type bands from back in the day, leather coats, people who tuck their t shirts into their trousers/jeans when they shouldnt (as their gut looks even worse !). White socks i liked in the 80's at school, now oh no no no !

Blue cheese is now amazing. Never understood it as a kid, seemed rank. But I always liked a bit of cheddar, dad always had some Galloway on the go.

Masterbating in the bushes at the local park. Hated it as a kid but it was the only place I could quickly knock one out. These days its ace the thought of getting caught adds an extra thrill to it.

It is funny.

Nobody does it in the park, the bus is much warmer.
