Something that has always eluded me the uncut version of that album.

OK, a few more selections:

First - Joe Satriani - 12" Summer Song promo, album Not of this Earth (signed)(many Joe fans don't know of this, the original sleeve design)
Motorhead - album Best Of (numbered 3-disc set + 7" EP)
Image

Next - Picture discs: Joe Satriani - Surfing With the Alien (signed), Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare, Boston - Walk On
Image

Next - It Bites - I think this is the full set of picture discs for the group: 7" Calling All the Heroes, 7" Still Too Young to Remember (shaped), 7" Midnight (Square), 10" Underneath Your Pillow, 12" Underneath Your Pillow remix, album Thankyou and Goodnight (gatefold)
Image

And finally - 7" Whole New World (twin-pack), 12" Underneath Your Pillow (white label promo), 12" Kiss Like Judas with giant poster (never opened, no idea what the poster looks like), 12" Sister Sarah with limited, numbered Eat Me... album art print

Oh, how I miss collecting. Have so many more collectibles in my collection, but what I've listed are both of and are my faves. The anticipation no longer exists of walking into a record store on release date in the hope of being first to find the choicest issues. Some of my collection has retained the aroma prompting the Bisto-like response "Ahhh...!" Even limited CD's are few and far between. Yes, there are always going to be special releases, but most often by artists/labels that want to bother with the trouble of creating them - it just doesn't really happen any more for anyone I like (save for The Montecristos red vinyl). For me, such issues died out during The Darkness' and Catatonia's time.

All good things.... <sigh> At least I have what you see here to look back on and reminisce about the Good Old Days. :D

Something I'm aiming for is trying to get some of the rare soundtracks on vinyl that I have picked up on cd over the last couple of years.

Just got last years T2 soundtrack on black vinyl not long back, off ebay for about £15.

One thing I was very happy to get was the DAGORED label version of Escape From New York. It still had its double sided flyer which was nice.

I feel bad now as I have the CD too. :D
I bought the CD as soon as it was released and was lucky enough to get the album the very next week.

You should feel bad ;-)

I listened to the album t'other day actually.....some of it hasn't aged well. "KKK censored" and "Evil censored" actually had me cringing, "Cop Killer" still rocks though!

And "I'm Ice muthafukkin T byatch!" is an immortal line.

I used to know a police inspector who had Cop Killer as her ringtone....on her work phone.

My parents had that soundtrack on tape when it came out. I must have heard it thousands of times while trapped in the car. I still have flashbacks.

Tiffany
Hold An Old Friends Hand - Japanese album release with Calendar

The Tiffany Story - USA promo. This is a 3-sided recording of an interview-with-music. It is complete with tracking sheets and letter of instruction. The process for this was the radio station receives the set, airs it once and then either destroys it or returns it to the record label. Only this one made it into the open. :D

Tiffany - UK album release with poster and signed sleeve
Image

A selection of 7" Japanese promos - I Saw Him Standing There, Could've Been, Feelings of Forever, Radio Romance, All This Time, Hold An Old Friend's Hand, Oh Jackie

And finally, mostly UK limiteds - Danny promo (and never released as a single in the UK), I Think We're Alone Now with poster, I Saw Him Standing There with poster, Could've Been picture disc, Feelings of Forever with badge, All This Time box with poster and postcards, Radio Romance with poster, and the Canadian release of I Saw Him Standing There with poster

I have so much more for Tiffany - all-bar-one standard releases for 7" and 12", all CD singles, all vinyl, cassette and CD editions of albums, all subsequent non-UK release albums on CD, a few cassette singles.... Yes, along with Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Tiffany ruled my teenage world! :D

I expect that, other than for the ITWAN release, nothing is of interest to most of you. I can, though, recommend her album The Colour of Silence - it is totally unlike her earlier work, very mature, contemporary and hailed by critics worldwide. It just got stiffed in the promotional machine and went relatively unheard of among the public at large. A real gem of a listen. Check out YouTube.
Didn't she end up marrying a fan? Or doing soft porn? or both? Can't remember now... there was another girl singer around at the time... maybe she did the soft porno.

Aye, Playboy. Never seen the pics. You're also thinking of Debbie...sorry, Deborah Gibson. Tiff did marry an English 'Joe Bloggs' before upping sticks back to Tennessee. Both girls also act - together in Mega Python v Gatoroid.
