Do you still subscribe/buy the mag ?

Post by aztecca » Wed Aug 12, 2015 4:18 pm

Was just wondering what percentage of people on the forum still actually buy/subscribe to the mag.

We have the worlds tiniest mailbox, so a subscription isn't really an option. I try to buy it, but my local WH Smiths doesn't always cooperate, so I am a "sometimes".

Sub here.

Amazed at how many issues I still have. just moved and my mags are at my mothers. Retrived the latest copy from there today form the post redirect (was not sure where I would end up so post got redirected to mothers!), next one should arrive here though as I have updatedthe address.

Sometimes takes a while to read it though! I do but not always in the month I buy it!

Sub too. Couldn't imagine not having it every month!

I've usually got a few features to read in the last month, but can't resist flicking through the latest magazine as soon as it arrives.

How about a game screenshot quiz? Amiga, DOS, Megadrive and Commodore 64.

I've been a subscriber since about issue 3. I've not been reading so much lately though, in the last year I've only opened the odd issue for a particular article. Change of job and commute is mostly to blame. Used to have lots of free time over lunch and on the bus, but that's all changed. I'm way behind on my podcasts too, with only a few I keep up to date with.

Stopped buying it at issue 139, for the last few years the only part of it I've been reading is the Minority Report and maybe the "Back to the..." section... No reflection on the quality of the magazine, just I couldn't bring myself to be interested anymore. Got every issue since 19, and most of the ones from before then - took a lot of willpower to stop buying it!

Sub here, too.

I look forward to it every month and read it over the course of a few lunchtimes at work. I take my Dingoo to work as well so I can fire up whatever games are featured in the latest issue.

SoR 2 today.
Thoughts and prayers.

Still got my sub & still enjoy it.

I read every article but sometimes I let them stack up for 5 or 6 issues and then have a month where I have a massive splurge.

I can see why people would drift in & out with it, there's months at a time when it doesn't hold any interest for me...then I always come back.

I subscribed for 3 years but found myself reading just 1 or 2 articles so I didn't renew my subscription. I buy it very occasionally, maybe 1 or 2 a year. I flick through it in the newsagent and if there's an article that looks interesting ill buy it.

Haven't bought an issue in years.
If it's slower than me, dumber than me and it tastes good ... tough titty.
