To quote Karl pilkington for this year

'Its proper **** ain't it'

Terrible year. Only here for 2 hours so far with a weekend pass and already contemplating going to hotel early. It's like 70% vendors 30% games. And no Killer Instinct arcade either.
Not happy this year

Oh dear, really? Several years ago people claimed there weren't enough vendors.

Just got back. Think it was great. Massive venue. A ton to look at and play. Seemed to be more arcade machines and pinball. Lots of stalls which was great (they can't win. People moan if there's too many or too few!)

Good to meet lots of people from the site and the usual faces.

Had a go on the vega. Far better than I thought very tempted to get one. Still want a bartop arcade machine !

Gutted I can't go tomorrow or to the aftershow party tonight. Had a great day. A TON of different machines to play

Decent. Got in 40 mins early thanks to press passes. Chuffed with that.

LOVED EDF on the PS4. Can't wait.

Got on plenty of arcade machines.

Got on the speccy as per usual too. Renegade got a good play. An Op. Wolf.

Thought it was great, and glad to hear they are coming to Glasgow next year. P.s. Seen the Judge from across a stall, good effort!

Pretty much, what I was thinking about 14:30 and arrived at 12:00, seemed a bit lacking in atmosphere from other years; don't know if I might be going again tomorrow - have got a weekend ticket - if I get up early enough I may go as I live in Manchester and takes two buses. Also, another thing that irked me this year. joe public i.e. none gamers (thinking of a mother and a little kid behind me while playing the 'Super Hang On' cab), she was tutting and moaning that I was taking too long; sorry though arcade etiquette is wait for your turn behind and really not my fault the kid was an in patient brat

Nope, I was paying attention, hence my opinion that it is ****. I appreciate that you had some sort of help in the setup of the event, but to me And my entire crew, we felt it very overwhelming in vendors and lacking in all our preffered areas of interest.

I agree with you, I enjoyed playing on a few things yesterday but there's no need for me to go back today.

I didn't buy anything either, there was one or two stalls that was reasonably priced and laid out, the rest were a joke and will be taking most of their stock back with them.

Saw a guy in a great T-censored, it was a picture of Zool and said "Bad news for hedgehogs", is that anyone here?

Personally, for me, not as enjoyable as previous years. Had a better time at the after even party than the event. As to why, I can't really put my finger on it but it is lacking ... something. *shrug*

I'm still heading back later on today so I can actually get a chance to get one some games as I basically had no chance on saturday, every unit was in use.

The prices on funstock seemed better than normal, with £20 off the JDX tablet and Retron 5 (still tempted by a retron 5 but its still just the wrong side of £100 for me), some of the other stalls were expensive, but probably around the price point i'd expect at events these days. No chance of bargains if you turn up late to these things.

I wanted to try EDF but it was always busy, its one of my guilty pleasure games :) Hopefully i'll get on it today, and hopefully a driving arcade game or two (again, always busy).
