Part of it is cash, since I'll be stepping off a flight from Spain. After a week of sun, sea and the other I'll be needing my rest too, I'm not as young as I used to be, not sure my liver can take a weekend with you lot after that
I can't quite face travelling from Spain, then London to Manchester, then the travel from Manchester to Aberdeen a day or two later. Just too much faff for one trip.

I've now booked in at my usual hotel for 2 nights (Friday & Saturday), it has cost £168 in total which I'll be splitting with a mate so not a bad price at all really.
If you are planning on staying over be sure to book now as the prices shoot up a dramatic amount close to the event.

Just need to book my tickets for the expo now and start arrangements for my potential green haired costume

My attendance depends entirely on my terminally ill father in law's health that weekend.
I of course want to be there, a few really cool guys on here i have met a few times will be there (archaic koala, rupert) and no doubt many others, including my mate paul.
In the end though, father in law comes first, i probably wont know until a lot closer to the time, still debating if i should buy tickets on the door or get them now and be prepared to sell or sacrifice (if i cant go i wont care about any money lost)

I finally purchased my ticket for this yesterday. I hope the organisers do stick to the 10am early entry for ticket holders and it doesn't become the yearly cluster***k of none ticket holders getting in first
Just over a month to go! should really get cracking on my costume... Lets' go!

Really looking forward to this now. Blackpool was excellent this year. I went to the very first Play expo and didn't rate it but it's so much better now.
And the Trafford Centre is just a short walk away and they've got a Five Guys in there. So that's lunch sorted.

Checked calendar, should be there, went with my son last year which gave me a different perspective on things! He was drawn to the arcade cabs as he has access to a lot of the other stuff already.

i think we should put something in place so we can recognise eachother
i really enjoy meeting you guys.
but
i forsee a problem
i am awaiting laryngeal surgery, so, i might not have a voice
I am not going to let that stop me from going, if I get my phone out mid conversation, I am not being ignorant, its how I communicate in noisy places, its that or write things down, and my handwriting is appalling. I might have had the surgery by then (doubt it), if I have I will be forced to be completely silent for a week afterwards.
If I am there look for a short, podgy guy with glasses, mid 30s with spiky brown hair, probably with a tall ginger guy (if he is coming) and almost certainly with a very tall blonde guy with a wolverhampton/black country accent. I am very useful at helping you find things nearby (food, pub etc)
