This is closer to us too so this is likely.
Dreamland is there. It's sort of going through changes. I think it's only open on certain dates. It's only got a certain amount of rides. I think its future is still in the balance.

This is inevitably gonna be divisive Sirclive, for those expecting Play in Manchester it will be a disappointment, will be back from Florida so I might make it.

Theres a Play event in Blackpool, then one months later in Manchester. Granted some Play fans might not be able to make this one but 2 months later is the huge Manchester one so its not too bad.

Sadly this ones too far away from me (unless i manage to get a work trip that weekend near Margate)

I'll be attempting a perfect run on Pac Man live. I'm streaming it too

I might be able to get to this, by train. It may be down south but it's a long way east of me. From Farnborough, it's just as far as heading up to Birmingham! And I'm sick of long drives right now. So I choo-choose the choo-choo.

I see evening tickets are on sale as a separate item. Does this mean anyone with a day ticket has to leave at 7? May be a bit of a moot point, as I'd have to be gone by 20:30 for the train anyway.

I'm going to this, bought the weekend pass but have since found out that does not include the evening sessions and I'll have to buy additional tickets. Absolute censored take!!

Completely forgot about this so going to do a last minute Hotel Search for Friday night, so I can travel after work and get into the event Saturday.

Any idea of local hotels anyone?

I seem to remember there are two Premier Inns in Margate. One is very close to the train station. Plus, there is a new one built in Canterbury - if you willing to travel from there.

I've just set up my stall, and the event looks great from what I've seen so far - lots of consoles, arcades, game sellers and cool stuff! Can't wait for tomorrow!

I was there, it's a shortish train journey for me (about 1hr). I took the wife and kids, and my friend and his family came along too - we had a blast!

I'd been to another event at the same venue earlier in the year (GEEK), and it's been great to have an opportunity to come along and play a mix of old and new, and see some excellent traders.

Comparing the two events, I think both had different advantages over the other. GEEK had a much better organised Minecraft area (which didn't interest me, but my kids were very into it), PLAY had coin-op machines, which was the stand out thing for me. In terms of retro, both were strong - I think possibly more options at PLAY, but GEEK also had a more titles that I'd not played before. GEEK had slightly more indie developers there.

It's been brilliant to have two of the events close to me, long may it continue :)

Thanks! I won't be at Play Expo I'm afraid, but I'll be at the Retro Game Market in London on Nov 14, and the other Retro Game Market in Leeds on Jan 30. And hopefully I'll be at Camden Market sometime too!

There's a retro game market in London? Do you have any more info?
