The Beeb got the rights a while back (I remember daytime repeats about 10 years ago on BBC2), hence why they're making the new series but for its original '81-'92 run it was on ITV.*





* Albeit later episodes don't have the Thames ident preceding them - ITV putting their foot down on that kind of thing in 1988, no longer wanting to be seen as a bunch of regional stations but one big channel.
