I must say, the PSP (2000) is possibly my most used console I've ever had. I loved it when I got it, but after I'd modded it then it was a zillion times better.

I've got mine set up with two memory cards (both 32gb) -

- PSP games (got about 30 on there)
- Emulators - PS1, Neo Geo, Capcom, Speccy, NES, SNES, Megadrive, Master System, GBA, Game Gear.

If you search the message boards here there have been several threads on modding PSPs. It's a recurring topic!

Hopefully it will be with me for the weekend, In the mean time I'm going to have a look around to see what the best/recommended emulators are as it looks like there are a hell of a lot of choices out there

Just google 'isozone psp homebrew' for all the full emulator packs with games

And 'isozone psx2psp' for the ps1 stuff

One really cool thing you can do is install the 'Game Categories Lite' plugin.

It allows you to group files together in folders and then displays them as such on the main PSP cross menu thing.

So I've got folders for PS1, Emulation, Games. I also have one called 'Retro' for the many official PSP retro compilations that are out there.

As for those compilations, Racketboy.com does a fab job of listing them all.

SNES emulation isn't quite perfect unfortunately. Deffo go with Megadrive emulation though.

Speccy fans need to get onto PSP Fuse which is ace.

A good source back in the day for emulator updates was http://dl.qj.net/psp/emulators.html but obviously that has all slowed right down.

But considering how many Speccy games there are, 1.7Gb is nothing really.

Thanks to all in this thread. My PSP has been left untouched for quite some time (and it's a Go!), but I've just had a go with the custom firmware and converted some of my PSOne discs - works perfectly!
