I'm so tempted to pick up a PSP go because of this thread

How comfortable is it to hold? The only reason I ask is because it looks like very compact

Its quite fiddly to hold to be honest - the only down side of it

Its ok for games where you are not using the trigger buttons but quite awkward otherwise

Still totally worth it though. Just tried the neo geo stuff and it looks and plays incredible

@ArchaicKoala

You can hack a standard PSP 1000/2000/3000 just as easily. Nicer to hold.

Also if you have a Vita you can hack the PSP side of it too - its stupidly complex compared to the standard PSP though. Dont know how risky Vita hacking is either.

I wouldnt touch the Vita hacking side of it just yet from what I have heard, may have improved abit since I last read up though.

I have the older PSP systems (about 2 or 3 of them) and all flashed / hacked, but I would much rather a Go due to the size, compact and TV out settings (Plus the built in 16gb is a plus)

This theard, and a theard a few months ago made me really tempted... I think I may make the plunge tonight when I get home...

Yeah i'm kinda in two minds on which model to get...

I do like the overall look of the PSP Go more than the standard models + the built in 16gb of storage is a nice bonus but the comfortable design of the 3000 is swaying me towards the latter.

I could do with finding somewhere that has a PSP Go for sale and seeing how it feels, I don't have massive hands so I may be ok with it

The fiddliness (is that a word?! Haha) is easy enough to get used to, and the fact it is the size of a mobile phone is a huge plus for carrying it around

Fiddliness, I love that word
I might pop out into town this afternoon as my local CEX currently has a PSP GO in stock so i'll have a look at that and (most probably) take the plunge on it

How is the size of it compared to the Sony Xperia play? I got rather Large hands, and I can play that fine

Not sure how it compares to Xperia but I've used a 2000 series and a Go and I prefer the Go. It's so compact and I've had no problems with it being too small and I've got long fingers.

Get a Go and if you don't like it, release it onto eBay and buy a 3000 instead. Shouldn't be much of a hassle.

What is the dpad on the go like for Street Fighter type games? The 1000 dpad is awful. Haven't tried any with my 2000.

I caved in last night and ordered a PSP Go!

Hopefully it will be with me for the weekend, In the mean time I'm going to have a look around to see what the best/recommended emulators are as it looks like there are a hell of a lot of choices out there
