Not strictly anime - but I did watch Song of the Sea. An Irish production. It's got similar graphics to a Studio Ghilibi. It was pretty good.

Watched 3 episodes of burst angel it seems to be abit meh. Don't think I can stomach 6 DVDs of it is plus an oav. One for eBay I think.

Brought Outlaw Star complete collection today at cash converters for 99p  so maybe I'll watch that tonight instead.

As you guys know more about anime than myself, do you prefer subtitles over dubbed versions?

THE UNIVERSAL DEBATE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODESU!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!!
Dub depending, theres a lot of bad ones where it all seems like the VAs dont give a s**t, but then you get the likes of Space Dandy, Cowboy bebop, Excel Saga (Excels VA damaged her throat in that one) and Ghost in the shell.

Okay. Thank you for the reply. I did watched the dubbed version of Akira last night - and that seemed okay - although, I think that is meant to be one of the better animes to watch in that form - according to a few things I have read.

Suggested watching, Akira (film) missed a load out of the actual manga, but that seems to be the way with a lot of them

Black Lagoon has a good one.
Theres a bit where they go to Japan and in the Jap version its in Engrish, in the dub its in Japanese

I prefer dubs 90% of the time. I wish Eyeshield 21 was dubbed, but it was subbed only. Poo.

Dubs are absolutely fine for me like 90% of the time. The worst I've heard recently was for Watamote, absolutely unbearable.

I don't mind dubs or subs. Although there are times in the evening when I'm tired and I struggle with subs, especially if they are poorly placed

Yu-Gi-Oh Season 2 because I bought the DVD for some unknown reason and I have a soft spot for it.

Cowboy Bebop Complete Set Blu-Ray sitting on the shelf waiting for me to finish the above after.

Is a lot of Japanese animation done with pencil and paper? Not done using a graphics tablet and a computer - like some of the later Disney films, etc? Is that what makes it so distinctive?

Elsewhere, it looks like Studio Ghibli's Only Yesterday is finally getting an English dub. Take a look at the following :-
