I'm a huge Star Wars fan, am looking forward to it and i know its a short teaser trailer but it was a shame we didnt see any of the old cast.

Didnt like that droid on top of a football i must admit. The new light sabre looks great, great to see the Falcon again as well and the Stormtroopers look cool. But yeah a good short clip but as it says its a total tease !

Loved it. Every bit. Don't understand the Falcon criticism, thought it looked great.

Thought it looked good. The way it moved reminded me of the asteroid chase in Empire Strikes Back.

It looked pretty good. I only wish there was more of it but then I like the fact we're kept in the dark about the returning cast and plot details, bar what's been rumored/leaked.

I can see what Koops means, the camera tracking is weird, it's not on the smooth arc of the original trilogy. Hopefully that's just one fraction of a close shot that isn't representative of the general camera work. I can't be doing with the whole 'found footage' wobbly cam effects, it detracts. The whole point of them is to make things look amateurish, but that shouldn't be happening in a sci fi space battle.

Still, that aside, there's lots of interesting stuff to see in here. Anyone put up scene by scene stills yet for proper analysis? I want a proper look at those troopers.

The hilt sabre blades look naff though, really cheesy.

Having just watched that very film with my lad? I still think the trailer smack of Gaybrams crap rather than original aceness ..... IMO.
I saw the original Star Wars in 1977 when I was 7, it was the first film I ever saw at the cinema. I remember the sheer shock of Empire's ending when I was 11 and really fancying Leia when I saw Jedi at the cinema. These are all moments of sheer joy in my film watching life. I've watched them a huge, huge number of times since.

Conversely i remember the trailer for Phantom Menace and how good that was, and then how poor the full film was, as was Clones and to a lesser extent Sith.

Despite the prequels I'm not ready to stop believing yet. I'm getting my hopes up for this film, and all the news I've heard, and this trailer make me think it might be Star Wars back to its best. I may be wrong but I'm damn well going to enjoy the build up and the anticipation to this film.

Some decent stills here:

Some of the Falcon ones look overly fake blurry, which may be why it looks so off in motion.
