PS4 Driveclub

Post by rossi46 » Tue Oct 14, 2014 7:59 pm

Seriously, this is such an awesome game.

Server issues aside, the handling, progression and visuals are better than any driving game I've ever played (and I was the biggest Forza fan).

It's a genuine must - have.

It's not reviewing as well as Forza did - not that that means diddly but there you go.

I've played hundreds of racers in the last few years but I really seemed to click with this. It's all very subjective but it seems to have soul and character where Forza had none.

Looks like a really good driving game, was going to try to free PS Plus version before committing to buying the full game.....no sign of it being released on PS Plus yet :(

I think I've sussed why it appeals to me such.

It looks and plays how I imagined the original Need for Speed looked and played (in my mind).

Does that make sense?

I've settled down with Forza Horizon 2 now, and haven't been impressed with the Driveclub reviews, but now I'm starting to doubt myself. It's going to have to be pretty damn good to sway me away from Horizon though!

I'm interested in drive club but going to wait for it to come on the psplus.

Is it like gt? The whole race, buy cars, tune them up how you like etc etc? That's the only other racing game bar Mario kart and games like that I have played.

I like the look of the Xbox exclusive racer which name I forget, mainly because of the paint tool and the great looking cars you can make.

Also, sounds stupid, but is there car damage?

I just want a new Need For Speed Hot Pursuit as I have completed it it 6 times to date and although it has faults (cops/racers cars too similar) and the fact that it's too small a game.

If it was double/triple in size, had more weather conditions such as snow and more range of cars, then I'd be in driving heaven.

I love the sound in that game too, and absolutely max it - get such a ruch when you hear the helicopter flying overhead especially if you have a sweet surround sound system like I do.

As a man who knows what hes talkin 'bout, tell me Rossi - how would I find NFS Most Wanted (360) as a single player experience in comparison to Hot Pursuit? Should I buy?

Driveclub has cosmetic car damage but nothing that affects how it handles.

It really is like the original NFS and how I desperately wanted it to look back in the 90s on the Saturn and 3DO.
Thoughts and prayers.
