Don't forget that there is an after show party on the Saturday night at Fab Cafe in Manchester from 7.30pm.

All ticket sales are for the GamesAid charity and you can purchase your tickets at https://www.justgiving.com/Replay-Events-2014

There are only 300 tickets so may be wise to order early as there has been a lot of interest in this event.

I've already bought mine :D

After waiting over an hour in line last year, does anybody have an idea what would be a good time to arrive on the Saturday if I'm paying on the door?

It would be quicker to buy one beforehand. Can't you do that ?

Yeah, I got a few friends tagging along. It would just be easier to pay on the door. 12 sounds like a good start though!

Thanks for that.

Sorry didnt mean that to sound rude just its much quicker buying the ticket before hand, once the doors open the staff go along and scan in anyone with a ticket already so you can go straight in then (and its cheaper if you buy earlier). Think the queues were much better last year

No need to apologise psj, mate. I'm just thanking you guys for the informative replys.

I'll be taking a couple of my kids too, after last year they were very keen to attend

I'm thinking of going on Sunday, and it'll be my first time for any event of this kind!

I was just wondering though, is there a schedule and timings for everything that's happening on the day? I know the missus is excited about 'screeen.play' being part of it all and meeting Darth Vader and the Red Dwarf guys! However I can't find anything on the Play Expo website about timings and all that.

Talks schedule here:
http://www.playexpo.net/2014/09/29/talks-schedule/

You have Mel Croucher, Cinemaware and Team 17 talks on the Sunday.

In terms of Star Wars guests, Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) will attend on Saturday whilst Dave Prowse (Darth Vader) and Kenny Baker (R2D2) will be attending Sunday. Craig Charles (Lister/Red Dwarf) will attend both days whilst Chris Barrie (Rimmer/Red Dwarf) will be there Saturday. John Leeson (voice of K9/Dr Who) will also attend Saturday.

So is anyone looking forward to playing any games in particular? (assuming it is available of course)
I was talking to my mate about this last night and the one title we both agreed on was Indy 500 on the Atari 2600.

Does anyone have a clue what Arcade games will be available? I swear that the games had (mostly) been revealed this time last year... :?

They'll love it ! Its also great when you see a dad and his young lad on say a Speccy and the look on the kids face is priceless as he seems to be loving playing an old classic. Good to see !

Plus theres tons of arcade machines/pinball machines, Star Wars people to meet/get autographs. Tons of stalls, he'll love it !!

Talking of arcade machines, at the Blackpool show a bloke and his teenage son were on Pole Position, i waited patiently behind them to have a go, the dad had a go, then the son (fair enough) , you would think they would then let the next person behind them have a go but no they had another go and another go ! I thought there were 'unwritten rules' about arcades if someones waiting behind ya !

I had a similar 'issue' at the Blackpool show. I was waiting for a go of the Pac Land cabinet for quite some time, the lady playing on it saw me and acknowledged me so she knew I was waiting for a go (patiently I will add) however no matter how many time she died she constantly kept continuing for what must have been a further 10 minutes so at this point I just walked off.

Now I have a rule at these events that If no one is waiting i'll keep playing until I get bored and move on but If someone else is waiting i'll finish my credit and pass the machine on
