Was that a clue? I could see that as a reference to Christ. Is it you, Beans?

I'm not even bothered if the forum is in decline or not...I am more into a Columbo mode...a constant search for truth and a solution to all mysteries. Sod getting along, give me my answers or yet more glorious riddles!

In all honesty, this is a forum for 30- and 40-odd year old blokes to talk about old games they used to play as kids. And people can fall out over it. It's absurd. I think the absurdity of it all needs to be registered. Retro gaming is a quaint and absurd hobby. Fun...but ultimately not worth getting so worked up about.

I'm totally confused mate, did you like DCRip or not?
I admit that I may have left it open to interpretation...

I only caught the last few months koops was here, but he was funny. He kept jabbing at the self destruct button with that one topic that got him banned in the end which was a shame. Hard to believe he still posts considering his writing style. That takes effort to hold yourself back considering how outspoken he is.

Wonder where he goes now? Especially after his forum was hacked.

The other guys who were banned I have only heard the stories. Sounds like some crazy characters that's for sure.

Sounds like I've missed some crazy bickering. Have there been any weird cases where it's transferred over into real-life physical shenanigans...fistfights, brawls, melees etc.?

I like hearing crazy forum stories.

I'm sure a few would like it to! Considering though its a retro-gaming forum full of male middle-aged dorks, I don't think its ever likely to happen and would look ridiculous. :P

Well both EastCoastEric and Kissfan threatened to turn up to the Play events and punch everyone in true scrolling beat em up fashion, as EastCoast put it "People who go to these events need they're nuts dipped in hot wax and dragged through broken glass". Supposedly Krusty went to an event as a name badge was made for him, no doubt you'ed be talking to somebody and they'ed start talking like they where underwater and speaking in Krustys voice.. Krusty sounds uncannily like Tim Curry when he speaks.. I think the Krusty badge was Marko playing a prank:)

Attending events and putting faces to people you know how to take them better on here, but in all serious everybody I've meet has been very down to earth and friendly.. Apart from a few COD meatheads who swore all the time at the people they where playing against, but they kept to the 360/cod arena..

Yeah, the Krusty40 name badge had to be done! Would love to have met him though after all the tracking down I did and finding all his details out! At least I know what he looks like in real life.

All this stuff is just fascinating fodder for me! Tell me more! I love tales of eccentric folk and this Krusty guy sounds fascinating!

When you first mentioned EastCoastEric I was thinking it was some American dude and Van sprang to mind but Van was always very sane if I remember rightly so I'm glad it wasn't him!

Just realised I am the original author of this necro thread. Yikes! Been on 9 years and subscriber and just seen all the posts. When I originally posted this we had way more spam and a lull in posts. While I have a high post count I only occasionally post now. There are some great people here and I try my best to disagree politely when I can. What I am less keen on is how some people are quick to be offended. If someone slags you off, fine. But people read too much into some posts IMO. Peace!

Try...

'Tea or Coffee'

...or the legendary...

'Would you kill someone for a million quid??

Tried to find that train-wreck of an N64 thread but the search function is being crap.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

I just read the entirety of "Tea or Coffee". I'm gonna save the other thread for when I get back home from work. Mentalist. I quite like active, crazy trolls though. They keep stuff pumpin'.

But, yeah. Yeah. You say he talks in a clown voice in real life??? I'd like to believe something like that, hehe. :D
