Best 80's action film
so, what's the best from that lot?
Re: Best 80's action film
The Terminator is the best film of all time! Closely followed by Aliens. Die hard and Robocop are pretty ace too.
Re: Best 80's action film
Well, its obviously Raiders of the Lost Ark but seeing as its not on the list, i'll also go for The Terminator.

couldn't put them all on, did consider Raiders Of The Lost Ark but decided it was more an action-adventure.

Terminator 2 is fantastic but the original isn't in the same league. From that list I'll go for Rambo: First Blood. The sequel was great as well!

The Terminator
Die Hard
Robocop
Predator
Aliens
I honestly couldn't separate any one of those five as being 'best', they all sort of do different things in the best possible way.

if they were all on telly tonight (at the same time, on different channels, and no sky+ etc), which one would you watch?Antiriad2097 wrote:The Terminator

Re: Best 80's action film
None. I've got them all on DVD, so I can do without the ad breaks.
But its entirely contextual. If it was around Christmas, then it would be Die Hard. If it was late night viewing, then probably Aliens as it works well with its dark moody tone. For a Sunday afternoon, possibly Robocop. Terminator has always seemed like a winter film to me, while Predator is for the height of summer. Depends who I'm watching with too.

Aliens is the best film ever made, closely followed by The Terminator.

This. Plus you don't miss out on all the bits they edit out
All great films, but Robocop is perfect; it really couldn't be improved upon.

Yeah - seconded Nokgod. How can you not appreciate the greatness of Spielberg's best film : Raiders of the Lost Ark?nokgod wrote:muppet.Dam wrote:Not even the best Indiana Jones film!nokgod wrote:Well, its obviously Raiders of the Lost Ark but seeing as its not on the list, i'll also go for The Terminator.
