What's is actually running in terms of hardware?

ah, the million dollar question. Hard to quantify exactly as labour costs didn't really count towards the total (at least in monetary terms)....lets just say it didn't break my budget limit and that was £500HalcyonDaze00 wrote:how much?
no....but you're most welcome to come round and have a go anytime you pass Blackheathcrusto wrote:Can I have it?

Looks awesome mate.
Re: My new toy.....
I can only apologise for how long this took in the end.
When i first started making them my social life consisted only of gaming. After about 6 months my life ramped up ten-fold and i took on quite a lot (more than i can chew really!) so this project dragged on a tad too long really. In fact i still have two of my own i still haven't finished!
However, i really did enjoy making this one, and like i told Trev, i wish i had made mine this shape too as i think it looks fantastic!
I cannot remember the hardware it is running. I doubt it would run Hyperspin, but for the games Trev had chosen i decided to keep the spec of the PC down in order to keep costs down too. It will easily run everything Trev wants to run. I can remember that it has 1Gb of RAM!
As for cost i was keeping track but lost the piece of paper i had but i reckon it was a bit shy of £300 in total. The flexi MDF for the rear was £15 on it's own!
I love the artwork. It really finishes it off. Cracking job you have done there.
Seems like so long ago that i started it (well, it was!) and i must be honest i've totally forgotten how MAME runs now. Would have to give myself a rfefresher course in order to do it again.
I'm chuffed to see you like it and it is being put to good use. It was really nice to finally meet you in person, and i really appreciate the gifts you gave me in return. As i said i didn't want paying for doing it as it was an experience for myself, but the kind gesture is much, much appreciated!
I'm glad to see everyone else seems to like it too. I hope you get many, many years use out of it!
