Yeah, I get that but they would have been kept within their own units, and certainly wouldn't have had London accents. If we're going to start picking up on anachronisms in Doctor Who then we'll be here all day, but it did seem a bit incongruous as Antirad said in terms of how they treated 'Friday'.Mayhem wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2017 9:50 amActually, if there was one area where men were recruited in equal terms, it was the British Army. Yes, it did have Indian and black soldiers in the 19th century, and earlier than that even. So the presence of a black soldier in the story wasn't really out of place for the time in question.

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours
Thanks for that little history lesson. Were they treated as equals? I'm guessing the common soldier wouldn't much care who had his back, but I can imagine the officers being less accomodating.Mayhem wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2017 9:50 amActually, if there was one area where men were recruited in equal terms, it was the British Army. Oh - we have to have place our bets(so to speak) on how the current Doctor is going to be forced to regenerate? I think this time around, some sort of gunfire. Place your theory here now.
Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours
Don't think much of my latest regeneration, mind my arch nemesis the Masters holds the honor of crap-est regeneration ever, his regeneration on this forum comes a close second(hope that was really yogurt on his trousers) in his montages
The ice warriors back I thought that good hearted rogue Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart wiped them out.. Takes me back to when I destroyed Morbius brain in a mind-bending contest, he asked "how old are you" The Sisterhood's leader supposedly executed Morbius in a dispersal chamber and he was atomised to the nine corners of the universe. So the future me may be a woman interesting.

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours
We know he does this at some point in his future as we've seen it in a previous episode.

@Tom Baker - I'll bet you'll be celebrating your latest regeneration with a nice glass of Spectrox, feeding your pet spider and keeping an eye on your radio telescope.

Not forgetting my cat Pepsi Katz, star of over 200 soft porn whiskers movies. I got her after the Master used his "tissue compression eliminator" on my pet hamster Mr Boofles, shrinking him to doll-like proportions, and killing him in the process.

The Master? Apparently, he's regenerated into his Derek Jacobi form and just finished a load of audio adventures for Big Finish - as "The War Master" for the Time War period. At least he hasn't done the whole sex change thing with "Missy" yet. I mean what the hell?Tom_Baker wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 5:32 am

Didn't think much of this weeks episode, seemed very CBBC to me.
Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours
It was actually more 70s style Who to me, enough character development and progression, but perhaps a slightly underused big bad.
