Listening to the new synth wave album by Perturbator called "The Uncanny Valley"

Got pics of the vinyl to put up when I get chance.

Here is a track from his previous album with a great retro graphics 8/16bit style video.

Better than the last couple but still no where near as strong as the earlier stuff. One song sounds like Dark Chest of Wonders from Once and the Richard Dawkins stuff made me laugh but I'll listen to it again.
Not heard much of the earlier stuff. First thing I listened to was Dark Passion Play which blew me away as I did not know what to expect. It's certainly my favourite work they have done that I have listened to.

Today, it's Joy Division. 36 years today since Ian's death.

Loving me some Disclosure at the minute. "You and Me" is just so good that I can listen to it over and over. I need more music like this.

Started listening to Scandal, they're pretty great. Departure is very catchy.

Have you seen the documentary about him? I watched it and all the way through I thought it was a spoof, as they were talking about him as though it was a parallel universe where this amazing singer existed and was better than all these very well known people, and they were talking about him as though we all obviously knew who he was and how good he was. I'd never heard of him.

After watching it and thinking they'd done some good effects work in some shots (I was even looking out for errors, like modern things in the "archive" footage), I looked him up, and who'd a though it. He is real! I did like the two albums.

Spurred on by seeing them live the other day for the 20th anniversary of Everything must Go , ive dug out my mrs' back catalogue of Manic Street Preachers stuff.

Never really been a full on fan , liked some stuff but found some a bit too political. Time to give em another shot.

Any recommendations?

I was going to start on Lipstick traces.

Got the soundtrack to the (excellent) movie 'Drive' - loving it.

Also picked up the new 'For the Love of Trance' compilation from Tesco today as there's a lot on there that I like.
