Hands down and thumbs up one of the greatest albums ever made.
I'm listening to Rival Sons. If you like such bands as Led Zeppelin and CCR I recommend to check this band out.

And followed up with Revolver, Sgt Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road, and Let It Be. Chuck in the "throwaway" stuff like Yellow Submarine and Magical Mystery Tour, and it's not a bad run of albums in four years!

That's right. Although I like Magical Mystery Tour. Yellow Submarine has always been my least favorite. Been listening to this band since I was 7 years old. They have more memorable songs than all other artists put together.

Rubber Soul is an amasing album, but my favourite Beatles album is 'Revolver'.
Anyway, lately I have been listening to a bit of country and western. Not really my thing, but I have heard some decent songs. Don Williams did some good ballads : Gypsy Woman, I Don't Believe, Listen to the Radio, It Must Be Love(not really a ballad I know). I allso listened to some Kenny Rogers : The Gambler and Dolly Polly Parton.

I knew of their existence and am a big fan of Blaze's solo and Iron Maiden work, but never really sat down and listened to Wolfsbane. Really good band, playing Sheffield on the 24th will try and get my mates to come along....and will also buy their new album come payday!
Missed this. I loved Wolfsbane when they first came out. Played 'Limo' nonstop, such a catchy song. I saw them support Maiden in Newport in 1990 then a few months later was weird reading Blaze had replace Bruce. Good band

I've just picked-up this little collection of vinyl.....
Not bad for free! The 350 mile round trip was worth it, there's all sorts of stuff in there.....
A complete Led Zep LP collection is the best find so far....I've got a few fun Sunday afternoons sorting that little lot out. I think there are about 2500 LPs, 500 12"s and about 1000 7"s in total

It was from someone on another forum, a family member died and this is his life's collection - it got mentioned that they were going in a skip cos no charity shops or dealers could be bothered to sort through them all (not even taking them for free

).....so I was in there sharpish!

not sure how many nights they are playing, but if it's only one - what did you think?

^ Bloody superb night ta - made sure I was nice and close to the stage and had a bit of a sore throat today from all the singing along! Personally would have liked to hear a couple more oldies rather than just all the later heavier stuff (I guessed that must have been partly down to that Donington 1990 boxset having come out recently), but an absolutely brilliant gig nonetheless

Hope you had a good one?

When you think you've got problems you don't really need,
They're maybe not as bad as they seem,
Cos in a world full of misery, with hatred and greed,
Your problems are another man's dream.
