Really excited about this weekend.
Looking forward to all those lovely pinball machines.
I'll be wearing a black T with the Skies of Arcadia logo or an Aliens Colonial Marines hoodie.

See you all there.

i'm easy to spot:
hopefully a sonic tshirt or atari tshirt with turqouise hoody
i also have quite prominent vitiligo especially around my hands and eyes, if the person playing a game next to you has weird two tone hands its probably me :D

Room sorted thanks to Dam and coach booked, excited now. :D

I'll initially most likely be turning up in my grey Zelda t-shirt before volunteering so if I haven't met you before be sure to say hello.

Which bus was it from Manchester coach station to Event City?

Um...

This is probably something that's been asked at some point, but has anyone ever gone on their own to one of these? (and had fun) :)

I suppose there are things to do/see but I don't know, it's just a little scary, It'd be nice to know someone there but none of my friends are interested (I would be coming from London for the day)... :?

I went on my own last year and had a fantastic time.

Markopoloman on here sorted me out with a bed and him and his family/friends made me feel so welcome. I also met a load of people off here and felt at ease and had fun all weekend.

Right, that's seven machines all boxed up and ready to go (apart from the bloody Amstrad CPC464 which wouldn't fit in the box).

T-shirts will be a Disney "Who said I was grumpy?", another that says "I have the body of a God - shame it's Buddha" and my regular Nintendo rehabilitation clinic hoodie if it's cold. Don't be shy and introduce yourself, even if we've met a couple of times i'll probably need a prompt since i'll be functioning on very little sleep and can forget my own name on occasion! =-)

Think it was the X50 but to be sure I'd check back a couple of pages on this thread as a couple of people mentioned it.

If anyone is worried about not knowing anyone or being on their own then please don't worry- everyone I have come across at retro things are very friendly, I will probably be on my own most of the day today so if you are worried look out for people from here or if a randomer talks to you don't be surprised, might even be me

Morning all! Well, the intention was there, but due to the long drive and a big case of beer we didn't make it to the event last night to help out!
But we are up n about, ready for a stonking day gaming (and working).

And ive got Mike-o-poloman, Tom-o-poloman, nakamura and the illusive Darran Jones - you'll find him trying to beat nakamura on the arcade machines
