Thank you so much, everybody!
I happily spent my birthday and the following sunday having some fun with my two little nephews on the Wii and X360. I even convinced them to try some Xbox and GameCube older stuff: they were happy to play cooperative Halo and Star Wars games. Next time I'll try to bring them down a further generation...
