Obssessed with "The Big Bang Theory"

I don't usually watch that much TV series; they seems to require a large dedication of time and effort, with often little reward (Dear "Lost": fck off), so the onIy series I have made any effort to watch recently have been the amazing Game of Thrones and The Walkng Dead (and Man v Food, but that's easy to dip in and out of!). Oh, and Dr Who, obviously.

But comedy-wise, I've never seen much that has ever interested me, apart from Peep Show and classics like Frasier. But my extended Xmas break meant I had time to peruse a bit more TV and I got properly into this show. Clearly, the main appeal is that it appeals to my "inner geek" (or as my wife would say "actual geek"): I did a science degree! I like comics! I like gaming! so I can (sort of) relate to what they talk about on that level, but the main attraction is obviously the quite brilliant Sheldon, who is easily one of the finest sitcom characters ever created.

I now have series 1-5 on DVD. Yay!

I'll have to be unpopular and say that I find him slightly irritating and I would class myself as a hopeless geek so it's not like I can't relate to the characters. What he says/does is funny but...I don't know, there's just something off-putting. Personally I think Raj is the funniest of the lot.

I used to dislike the show but I've been watching the odd episode here and there and it's definitely something I'm warming to. Probably worth watching just for Kayley Cuoco :)

Im a hater of it.

It feels like its ment to be nerd humour not written by nerds, watched a few episodes and the canned laughter became annoying.
One guy says some thing nerdy "Laughter"
It Crowd did the nerd thing better.

Now to leave the thread

i watched parts of that channel 4 behind the scene's thing,i thought the woman who played Bernadette was way better looking in character.same goes for amy/blossom,it looked like whoever applied her make up had done it from a mile away using a howitzer.

anyway i do like the programme.
