for me, it's got to be Robotron - tense, fun, duel-joystick mahem.

Or, if going slightly less old school, OutRun 2 - all red and shiny.

Star Wars, the original Atari vector game. Its got colour vectors, sampled sound, TIE fighters and the Death Star assault. An incredible package of audio, video and gameplay. Pure joy every time I play it, even just looking at the cab gives me a kick.

This. When I first saw it in the arcades I had to pinch myself.

Operation Wolf and Paperboy are faves too but Star Wars is THE one.

Favourite 90's arcade game: Time Crisis
Favourite 80's arcade game: Chase HQ
