I dont bother searching for some odd swearword on the forum or that so its not some North Korea state ! Just if someone 'tests' it and starts posting lots of swearwords (As someone did earlier) thats ridiculous.

"Pyab" used to be my favourite non-swear word, descriptive of pubic hair.
My comics blog (mostly lesser-known UK stuff from the 80s and 90s)

We used the 1970's "Bush" up until I happened upon the more suitable "Mott"

Which worked out well actually. As it's also quite by chance, succinctly describes the editor of EDGE: Tony Mott!

Back for a whirlwind appearance

1. The NHS is a bloated mess that could do with much restructuring behind the scenes. The amount of wastage and sheer incompetence is unreal Poor sods on the front line have no chance with jobsworth stuck in the past inefficient wastes of space that usually inhabit the admin side

2. The campaigns for young white girl ( as is nearly always) young white girl who has disappeared, been murdered or whatever and the inevitable knee jerk from people wanting to extract revenge or do things that inflame the situation are ridiculous. Many other people go missing they are just as important to those that do disappear, get killed etc but because they arent young white girls it means less to ' hearts and the minds' of society. (NB my cousin disappeared, killed himself, byline in the paper, there are countless others who need the support and not be up in arms over)

3. Sarah Millican and Miranda Hart are awful

4. Goldeneye, Super Mario in 3d and Final Fantasy games are rubbish. Pac Man and many other stone cold classic games are also utterly pap

5. I dont care if bankers make a shed load of cash or not.

6. The Beatles were rubbish

7. Sleep is overrated
The Artist Formerly Known as Ralph Milne's Left Foot :P

Wheres Gus Ceasar when you need him?... Pah!

The reason young white girls make such big news is because it is every parents living nightmare. It is mine. Unfortunately disappearing adults, whilst important to those who love them, will not be able to link to that very deeply seated fear.
Suicide is a tragedy, but the overwhelming reaction to an adult absconding and intentionally taking their own life, is very different to the reaction on hearing that a small child has been abducted and murdered.

I suspect his emphasis wasn't so much on the words "young" & "girl" but "white".

I was thinking about this the other day. In the very same week that Maddie McCann went missing, a black British girl was also kidnapped in Nigeria - but nobody (or the press at least) seemed to care. I've no idea whether they found her or not.

Totally agree. As long as they're not doing anything that puts me out of pocket (ie. fraud, reckless speculating, etc) then fair play to them - it's a tough, stressful job and I wouldn't/couldn't do it.
