My Freebie James Bond and Spider-Man box sets turned up today via courier :D . I started with the amazing Spider-Man in 3D this evening. I really enjoyed it, the 3D was very subtle on the whole but was great in the appropriate scenes. It sounded lovely too. Recommended.

I bought a new TV and Blu Ray player just before crimbo from Currys. The Spider-Man films were on offer with the blu ray player and the bond set was on offer via the TV. I just had to send off my proof of purchases and the relevant model and serial numbers etc to Sony. And after about 3 weeks all my goodies turned up, all very efficient and un sony like  The bond set is really quite nice too.

Picked up Looper and Dredd 3D today. £15 each, not bad for new films.

Am a bit pissed off that the 3D films aren't dropping in cost over time in general. I wanted to pick up the marvel movies I am missing but I ain't paying £22 a go for them!

Casino - Verision in Tin, £8.99 from HMV, love this film so it should be brilliant on Blu Ray quality.

Pre-ordered Lifefirce on blu ray yesterday from Amazon. It might be £21 quid, but it'll do. All in swanky Steelbook, 2 disc-o-Rama, with two versions and a fair few documentaries as well.

Bought Dad 'Zero Dark Thirty' on Blu ray for Father's Day and I will watch that, it looks good. Want to pick 'House Of Cards' Season 1, but not sure whether to get the first series on DVD and then if it's any good get the whole series (when out) on Blu ray. On Amazon, Blu ray - £27.94 and DVD £20.00, so it maybe the dvd for me, I love anything with Kevin Spacey in it. Him and Robert De Niro, two of my favourite actors based on talents.

Just a heads up, HMV (the Birmingham one at least) is having a bit of a clear out and there are a few Blu Rays going cheap.
Best deal is easily the LOTR Extended Edition Blu Ray going for £24.99, bought it myself a few weeks ago but it looks like they must have got in quite a hefty quantity, I remember asking virtually every time I went in and they never seemed to have it in stock so why they suddenly have so many is pretty bizarre really.

Another good deal is the Die Hard Quadrilogy for £9.99 got it at that price for my Birthday a couple of weeks ago but it went up the next week to £12.99 and now seems to have gone back down for some reason. Obviously doesn't include the newest film but I heard it's pretty crap anyway so it's no loss.
