Loved the tribute piece in issue 107. Well done to all those who made it happen, and keep acting with the same spirit and fun as Gavin to remember him.

Just read the smashing tribute to what seemed to be a respected and generous member of the retro gaming community.

RIP Gav, the world's loss is heavens gain it would seem.

one of the first things i see on this forum after being gone away for almost year is that troll thread and THIS

( sad to actually find out he passed away in a thread about trolling off all things but it did take me by complete surprise
an wait WHAT ?! moment )

i know i am rather late and i never talked much to gavin\bsg but he was always around to know that suddenly he is gone just like that
well words dont really cover it do they ?

i am sure he will be missed and fondly rememberd and talked about for years to come

and i am going to look for issue 107 to read a fitting tribute to a good man for myself
hey wait ! i got a new complaint !

My thoughts and best wishes go out to Gavin's family on what must be a particularly difficult time.
I hope 2013 brings an easing to the pain and happiness in the memories of your time together.

His funeral was held at 12 o'clock today at Stranton Grange Crematorium in his home town of Hartlepool, and according to messages on his Facebook wall it was a great send off.

Gavin was not a well man, suffering from persistent strokes and arthritis. We should be glad that he is no longer in any pain.

RIP big man. The community will miss you.

I'm sure BSG has enjoyed pride of place at the top of 'Off Topic' for the past 6 months - looking down at all the petty arguments, the laughs, the love of gaming/films/pretty women & ugly ones in the 'Would you' thread..... But now he is no longer a sticky BSG- but a free spirit in the historic pages of the Retro Gamer Forum :D

Rest in peace Gavin - play hard up there.....
