RIP Gavin "bsg" Crossling

Post by themightymartin » Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:41 pm

I don't know if any of you are aware, but forum member Gavin Crossling (bsg) passed away recently. I've only just found out myself. Apparently he suffered a fatal heart attack on or around July 25th.

His funeral was held at 12 o'clock today at Stranton Grange Crematorium in his home town of Hartlepool, and according to messages on his Facebook wall it was a great send off.

Gavin was not a well man, suffering from persistent strokes and arthritis. We should be glad that he is no longer in any pain.

RIP big man. The community will miss you.

Just looking through his post history it's surprising how one day you're doing your thing and the next that's it.

I'm both shocked and saddened to hear of this.

RIP bsg.

Can't say i knew him but when somebody in the community you hang out in dies it kind of brings home the real things in life that matter.

Makes all bickering and argueing over pointless things on an internet forum seem so petty and childish in the end.

I don't suppose its possible to do some kind of tribute at the Manchester event.? Even just a card signing for his family.?

This is f**king horrible news. I've dealt with him several times for trades and such, and he was always a lovely bloke.

Would love to see a little piece in the mag for him, y'know? bsg's best bits instead of the usual from the forum would be cool.

Condolences to everyone involved.

Didn't he start the xbox softmod kit sharing thing on here? That was a really cool thing to do.
