Beastie Boy Adam Yauch has passed away from Cancer.

He was only 48.

This is sad:( I grew up listning to the Beastie Boys, along with LL Cool J, Run DMC, Public Enemy etc.

RIP. Yauch was in the band when they were still a hardcore punk band, a sadly overlooked element of the band - interesting guy and I enjoyed reading some of his comments on the punk scene.

Really sad that one, I was only listening to Ill Communication earlier this week.

Oh man, that's sad news.

It seems such a short time ago that he put up that vid on youtube announcing his cancer, and the prognosis sounded good. Very upsetting. :(
