I hope everything goes as well as it can, and it's not too painful.

I've had a bit of a scare this last month, but the doctor today made me feel better about it (though I need a scan to make sure), so I know how scary it can be even before having surgery. I'm terrified of needles, so a major op is my worst nightmare.

Good luck, Andrew, and I hope to hear good news shortly afterwards.

Good luck man!
My op was pretty simple and scared the pants off me so I can only guess at how you must be feeling.

Yeah, always a bit foreboding with hospitals and operations - try to look to the future and how this stint will shape it more positively, as I'm sure you are - good luck mate. And the food is much better these days, Lloyd Grossman or summit.
