Yeah it was from a while back, i didnt update the address so its going to my ex's house. She said its arrived so i'll go there straight after work, looking forward to going through it. Love my arcade machine but i flick past so many games for whatever reason so hope to discover some 'new' ones i dont normally look at.

I remember when he mentioned this book years back but then did the Atari book first, so glad this ones now finished as this was the one i really wanted

Theres no PDF version of this one, just physical

Got the book. Been looking forward to this !

Great size. Tons of images. Loads of games. Happy as hell. Really impressive

Did laugh (sorry) that the book turned up with slight damage to one of our well known ‘friends’ abroad ;) He doesn’t have much luck !

The Coin-Op: The Arcadde Guide book is finally here

Promo video: https://youtu.be/UMeAAtGwiG0

The “Coin-Op: The Arcade Guide” has been in the making for roughly 8 years now, I wanted to create a visual-heavy book dedicated to Coin-Op arcade games, and so this book was born. It features a huge collection of amazing arcade titles in one book for the very first time, ranging from the ’80s to the ’90s. This second book from me (Darren Doyle) & Greyfox Books will pay a huge tribute to this incredible and fascinating past time we all loved during our childhood and even now into adulthood. These classic Coin-op arcade games have made a great come back in recent years, becoming very popular once more through emulation or even Mini Arcade cabinets.

The Coin-Op: The Arcade Guide is a first for a book specialising in a visual aspect of classic arcade games never represented in this manner before. The full premise of this book is to produce a visually rich experience based on multiple genres of classic arcade titles.

The book will be split across 9 chapters to cover all areas of the Coin-Op gaming scene in a fully-fledged hardback book. Chapters in the book will cover:

Side-scrolling Beat’em up games, Arcade Driving games, Arcade Shoot’em’ ups, Arcade Action games, Miscellaneous arcade games, Obscure arcade games, Arcade Horror inspired games, 1 vs. 1 Fighting games, Arcade Hall of Fame, Interviews, and two amazing gate-fold outspreads.

With over 100 classic arcade games covered, each one has its own bespoke layout to showcase each game in all its visual beauty. We have some amazing arcade trivia for you in here too and some exclusive interviews and much more ensuring a premium publication with a word count of 60,000 – 70,000 words. I have also included some really neat bespoke ideas that you will discover as read the book, but that will have to remain a surprise for now. The main aim is to produce the book in an A4 annual sized orientation. I believe it would be criminal to have it any smaller than this and it will feature the following specifications:

Annual Size format
Book size: 8.5” x 11.5
Book Cover: Gloss finish
Paper stock: 140-150gsm page thickness
Page count: 300 pages + endpapers (imagery)
Print quality: Satin Silk Finish (highest finish)
Binding: thread-sewn bind
Weight: 2.066kg
